Sweden’s construction sector is unique – there’s no specific construction law. Instead, the entire legal structure is based on standard industry agreements like AB 04 (for performance-based contracts) and ABT 06 (for design and construction). In 2025, new contracts (AB 25 and ABPU 25) will begin replacing the previous contracts. If you have a small or newly started company, understanding these agreements is essential – especially if you’re dealing with larger companies who already know the system.
